چکیده
(NDI), and Neurological Success endpoints, and similar adverse Study Design. A prospective, randomized, controlled, parallel, single-blinded noninferiority multicenter pivotal FDA IDE trial. Objective. The objective of this study was to investigate efficacy and safety of i-Factor Bone Graft (i-Factor) compared with local autograft in single-level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) for cervical radiculopathy. Summary of Background Data. i-Factor is a composite bone substitute material consisting of the P-15 synthetic collagen fragment adsorbed onto anorganic bone mineral and suspended in an inert biocompatible hydrogel carrier. P-15 has demonstrated bone healing efficacy in dental, orthopedic, and nonhuman applications. Methods. Patients randomly received either autograft (N1⁄4154) or i-Factor (N1⁄4165) in a cortical ring allograft. Study success was defined as noninferiority in fusion, Neck Disability Index

Comparison of outcomes and safety of using hydroxyapatite granules as a substitute for autograft in cervical cages for anterior cervical discectomy and interbody fusion
Background: After cervical discectomy, autogenetic bone is packed into the cage to increase the rate of union between adjacent vertebral bodies, but donor site–related complications can still occur. In this study we evaluate the use of hydroxyapatite granules as a substitute for autograft for interbody fusion. Methods: From November 2008 to November 2011, 236 patients participated in ...

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study is to verify the usefulness of autograft versus allograft in the radiographic and clinical outcome in early period after the surgery. METHODS We performed a retrospective review of 38 patients who had undergone one- or two-level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) with rigid anterior plate fixation from March 2006 to May 2009. Interbody graft mat...

This was a prospective comparative study. The aim of this study was to compare the clinical and radiologic outcomes of patients treated with cortico/cancellous composite allograft or autoiliac bone graft in anterior cervical discectomy and fusion.Several methods have been developed to fuse the cervical spine for treatment of cervical spondylosis. Cortico/cancellous composite allograft might be a...

متن کاملAnterior Cervical Interbody Fusion Using a Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) Cage Device and Local Autograft Bone
A nterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) has been performed with various techniques and devices for many years. Autologous iliac crest grafts were initially used for the Cloward and Robinson and Smith techniques, but because of iliac crest graft site complications (eg, pain, infection, fracture, dystrophic scarring), the procedure was generally superseded by allograft implants. These imp...
